Tretin 0.025% cream (tretinoin) is commonly used for oily skin, acne (pimples), and mild acne marks. It helps improve skin texture and reduce blocked pores, but should be used carefully. Common side effects include dryness, redness, peeling, mild burning and temporary worsening of acne in the first few weeks, which is normal for many people. It should be applied only at night on clean, completely dry skin. Use a pea-sized amount all over the face, avoiding the eyes, lips, and corners of the nose. Start with 2 to 3 nights per week and increase slowly as tolerated. Apply a gentle moisturiser to reduce dryness and irritation. Always use sunscreen during the day, as the skin becomes more sensitive to sunlight. Avoid using during pregnancy.
