My child has a cough and cold, and his molars are coming in with swollen gums. What can I do to help him?
You can help your child by giving plenty of fluids, using a humidifier to ease congestion, gently clearing the nose with saline drops, and using a soft teething ring or a clean finger to massage the swollen gums. If needed, you may also give paracetamol or ibuprofen to relieve discomfort. If the symptoms persist or worsen, please consult a paediatrician promptly.
