My baby is 3.5 months old, and we have been giving vitamin D syrup since birth. Her skin feels rough despite regular oil massage. What can we use to make her skin softer, and does she need any other supplements now?
Rough skin in a 3.5-month-old baby is usually due to dryness or sensitive skin and is not related to vitamin D drops. You can use a gentle baby moisturiser or cream after bathing and continue light oil massage to keep the skin soft. Avoid harsh soaps and keep baths short to prevent dryness. At this age, vitamin D is usually sufficient, and no additional supplements are needed unless advised otherwise. If the skin stays very rough or irritated, consult your doctor.
