Since his fever is gone, you can safely stop giving Meftal P (mefenamic acid) regularly and only use it as needed if the fever or ear pain returns. There is no need to switch to Flexon. However, please ensure you complete the full course of his antibiotic, Augmentin DDS, as prescribed to make sure the ear infection is completely cleared. Keep monitoring him, and consult his doctor if you notice any new symptoms.

I started taking Razdifra (resmetirom) 100 mg yesterday for my metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). After taking the medicine, I developed severe back pain and neck pain. Could this be a side effect of the medication, and what should I do to relieve it? Should I continue taking the medicine or seek medical attention?
Back and neck pain that begins soon after starting Rezdiffra may or may not be related to the medication. Musculoskeletal pain has been reported by some people taking the drug, but other causes, such as muscle strain, an underlying condition, or a separate illness, are also possible. Because your pain is described as severe and started after taking your first dose, you should contact the doctor who prescribed the medicine as soon as possible for advice before taking additional doses. Until you receive medical guidance, avoid starting any new pain medicines unless you know they are safe for you. If your doctor has previously told you that you can use acetaminophen (paracetamol), it may be an option for temporary pain relief, but follow the recommended dosing instructions and consider your liver condition. Seek urgent medical care immediately if the pain is accompanied by trouble breathing, chest pain, weakness or numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, fever, severe swelling, rash, facial swelling, or inability to move your neck. Your healthcare provider can determine whether the symptoms are related to the medication and whether your treatment plan needs to be adjusted.
