I have had 3?4 episodes of seizures over the past three years, but my CT scan and EEG reports have been normal, even on repeat testing after three months. My doctor has prescribed Oxetol 450 Tablet for 2?3 years. I also drink alcohol, smoke, and use drugs. If all the tests are normal, why am I still getting these attacks?
Normal CT and EEG reports do not completely rule out epilepsy, as many seizure disorders are caused by abnormal electrical activity in the brain that may not be visible on imaging. Oxetol 450 (Oxcarbazepine) is prescribed to stabilize this abnormal electrical activity and prevent seizure recurrence. Alcohol, smoking, and recreational drug use can trigger seizure attacks and reduce the effectiveness of the medication. You should strictly avoid these substances and continue regular follow-up with your neurologist for long-term seizure control.
