  5. I have been suffering from a continuous, severe headache since last night, especially in the temporal region. The pain is unbearable. I have taken P650, Zerodol-P, and Vasograin, but did not get relief. As advised by a consultant, I then took Tramadol and Stemetil along with a Pan 40 injection, which gave only short-term relief. Later, I took Alprax 0.25 mg and felt sleepy, but still did not get much relief. Kindly suggest what I should do next?

Since you are having a severe, continuous headache that is not improving even after multiple pain medicines, you should not take more medicines on your own. It is important to visit a hospital or consult a physician/neurologist, especially if the pain is unbearable or different from your usual headaches.

Your continuous, severe headache with little relief from multiple strong medications is concerning and needs urgent medical evaluation.

⚠️ When to Seek Urgent Care

  • If the headache is sudden, worsening, or accompanied by symptoms like vision changes, weakness, confusion, fever, neck stiffness, or vomiting, seek emergency care immediately.
  • Persistent severe headache despite painkillers can indicate serious conditions such as migraine complications, cluster headache, or other neurological issues needing prompt assessment.

🩺 Next Steps

  • Visit a neurologist or emergency department promptly for a thorough clinical evaluation and possible imaging (like MRI or CT scan) to rule out serious causes.
  • Avoid self-medicating further without specialist guidance, as some medications you took (Tramadol, Stemetil, Alprax) can cause sedation but may not address the underlying cause.
  • Keep a headache diary noting onset, duration, triggers, and associated symptoms to help the specialist.

🏥 Self-Care Until Evaluation

  • Rest in a quiet, dark room.
  • Stay hydrated and avoid known headache triggers like stress, certain foods, or bright lights.
  • Use only prescribed medications as advised by your doctor.

Please seek urgent consultation with a neurologist or visit the nearest hospital to ensure safe and appropriate care.
