I live in Bangalore, when I use tap water the steam is very less, I add a small pinch of salt then it gets better. The problem I am facing is, though Im using it for more than 3 months , the plastic smell still comes along with the steam. Is it normal. Is the plastic used is BPA free?

I faced the worst situation. I filled it with water and plugged it in, then waited 30 minutes. I did not see a stream. not worthy.
