I have had two acute pancreatitis attacks, in 2012 and 2015, due to very high triglycerides. I am currently taking Rozavel 20 Tablet, but my triglyceride levels remain between 500 and 900. What should I do?
You should urgently consult your doctor, as triglyceride levels between 500 and 900 milligrams per decilitre carry a significant risk of another pancreatitis attack despite your current medication. Along with strict restriction of dietary fat and sugar and complete avoidance of alcohol, your doctor may need to adjust your current medication dosage or add another medicine, such as a fibrate or high-dose omega-3 fatty acids, to lower your risk effectively.
