Blackheads under or around the eyes, along with darkening, are usually related more to clogged pores, excess oil, friction, sun exposure, or pigmentation rather than a serious vitamin deficiency. Sometimes, lack of sleep, stress, allergies, rubbing the eyes frequently, or hereditary dark circles can make the area look darker and more noticeable. Since the skin around the eyes is very delicate, harsh scrubs or strong acne creams can easily cause irritation and worsen pigmentation. Gentle skincare works best here. Mild ingredients like niacinamide or low-strength retinol-based under-eye creams may gradually improve texture and pigmentation when used carefully, while salicylic acid is sometimes used for blackheads but should be kept away from the immediate eye area. Regular sunscreen and proper sleep are also important because sun exposure and fatigue can make darkness more prominent. Avoid squeezing or aggressively cleaning the area. If the bumps are tiny white or skin-colored lesions rather than true blackheads, they could be milia, which may need different treatment from a dermatologist.
