TIZANIDINE+DICLOFENAC is a combination medicine that contains pain relievers and muscle relaxants. It is used to treat spasticity (muscle stiffness and spasms) associated with pain. Pain is a symptom triggered by the nervous system, causing uncomfortable sensations in the body. A muscle spasm occurs due to involuntary contractions of a muscle. A spasm may be a muscle cramp or feel tight or stiff, like a knot.
TIZANIDINE+DICLOFENAC contains Diclofenac (NSAID) and Tizanidine (muscle relaxant). Diclofenac blocks prostaglandins (PGs) that cause pain and swelling. Tizanidine works on the centres of the spinal cord and brain. This helps relieve muscle stiffness and improves muscle movements. As a result, TIZANIDINE+DICLOFENAC helps to reduce muscle stiffness, spasms, and pain.
TIZANIDINE+DICLOFENAC is prescribed medication, and it should be taken as directed by the doctor. In some cases, you may experience common side effects such as feeling or being sick (vomiting), diarrhoea, headaches, drowsiness and ringing in your ears (tinnitus), fluctuations in blood pressure, dry mouth, stomach upsets, and decrease or increase in heart rate. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
Before prescribing TIZANIDINE+DICLOFENAC, inform your doctor about all your allergic or hypersensitivity reactions to medicines or food. Also, tell your doctor about your medical history and other medications you are currently taking to rule out any potential adverse effects. Do not take TIZANIDINE+DICLOFENAC unless recommended by the doctor if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. TIZANIDINE+DICLOFENAC may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert and focused. TIZANIDINE+DICLOFENAC should not be given to children as safety has not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol while on treatment with TIZANIDINE+DICLOFENAC as it could lead to liver damage.
Spasticity (muscle stiffness and spasms) is associated with pain.
TIZANIDINE+DICLOFENAC contains Diclofenac (NSAID) and Tizanidine (muscle relaxant). Diclofenac inhibits the production of prostaglandins (PGs), which induce pain and swelling. Tizanidine modulates the spinal cord and brain centres. This aids in the relief of muscle stiffness and the improvement of muscle movements. As a result, TIZANIDINE+DICLOFENAC aids in relieving muscle stiffness, spasms, and pain.

Regular exercise helps muscle stretch, making them less likely to spasm, tear, and sprain. Mild activities such as jogging and walking are helpful for muscle stretching.
Massages can also be helpful.
Rest well, and get plenty of sleep.
Change your position at least every two hours to avoid developing pressure sores.
Hot or cold therapy can help treat muscle spasms. Apply an ice pack or hot pack on the muscle for 15-20minutes.
Stay hydrated, drink plenty of water.
Muscle spasm is the sudden involuntary contractions of the muscle, which can be painful and uncomfortable. When the nerve impulses that control the muscle movements are damaged or interrupted, it could lead to muscle spasms. A spasm may be a twitch in the muscle or feel tight or hard, like a knot.
