I had severe pain a few days ago due to a small kidney stone that passed the next day. Since then, I have been feeling pain in my right testis, especially while wearing trousers, and it feels better when I am at home in loose clothes. Is this normal?

Pain in the testis after passing a small kidney stone can sometimes occur because the urinary tract and nearby nerves remain irritated for a few days after the stone passes. The pain may travel from the lower abdomen or groin into the testis and can worsen while wearing tight trousers or during movement due to pressure and friction in the area. Mild discomfort that gradually improves may settle with rest, good hydration, loose clothing, and avoiding heavy physical strain for a few days. Warm compresses may also help reduce irritation. However, persistent testicular pain should not be ignored because conditions like infection, inflammation, hernia, or rarely twisting of the testis can also cause similar symptoms. Seek medical care if the pain becomes severe, swelling develops, fever appears, or the testis becomes red or very tender.
