Patient is?unable to fall asleep without?sleeping tablets.?Currently, doctors are giving her IV metrindazole, NS-9%, and ciprofloxacin, but no improvement is observed. They are now recommending an MRI, rest tests, such as EACH, and normal blood pressure. Please advise what should be done.
If the patient cannot sleep without tablets and is not improving despite antibiotics like Metronidazole and Ciprofloxacin, it suggests the problem may not be just infection but could be related to the brain, nerves, or severe insomnia or anxiety. The doctors advising MRI and other tests (like EEG) is appropriate to rule out neurological causes. If needed, a neurologist or psychiatrist consultation may help identify the exact cause and provide proper treatment.
