I am diabetic and taking Diapride M1 Forte Tablet twice daily. My fasting glucose is 130-135 mg/dL, and postprandial glucose is 240-260 mg/dL. Should I increase my dose or consider insulin?
Your postprandial glucose is higher than the recommended target (below 140 mg/dL) despite your current medication. Do not adjust the dose on your own, as this may cause hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) or other complications. Consult your doctor, who may consider increasing the dose, adding another oral antidiabetic medicine, or starting insulin if necessary. Meanwhile, continue a balanced diet, regular physical activity, and careful blood glucose monitoring to help improve control.
