I am a fourth-year MBBS student with lower abdominal pain in both the hypogastrium and the lower abdomen. I also have low-grade fever, constipation, and trouble starting and emptying my bladder. My KFT, urine microscopy, culture, and sensitivity tests all came back normal. I also went to get a PSA (Total), and the result was I am really concerned. My exams are coming up, and I can't focus.
Lower abdominal pain with low-grade fever and urinary difficulty despite normal tests may suggest conditions like Prostatitis or Chronic pelvic pain syndrome, and sometimes bowel issues like Irritable bowel syndrome can overlap. Since PSA and basic tests are normal, it?s less likely something serious, but your symptoms still need evaluation. Stay hydrated, avoid holding urine, manage constipation with fiber or Lactulose, and use Paracetamol for pain if needed. Please consult a urologist soon for proper examination and guidance, especially as symptoms are affecting your studies.
