It is completely normal for diarrhea to take a little time to fully resolve. Please continue staying well-hydrated with water and electrolyte solutions. Since your symptoms are already decreasing, you can continue taking the diphenoxylate/atropine (Lomotil) exactly as prescribed by your doctor, making sure not to exceed the recommended daily limit. Keep resting and eat bland foods. If the diarrhea does not fully clear up within 48 hours, or if you develop a high fever or notice blood in your stool, please reach out to your doctor for further guidance.
