Lomotil can sometimes cause side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, or headache in some people. However, a severe headache that worsens on bending down may also occur due to dehydration, sinus pressure, viral infection, or other causes unrelated to the medicine. Since your loose motions have stopped, focus on drinking enough water and ORS to correct any dehydration. Rest and adequate sleep may also help. For headache relief, doctors commonly advise simple medicines like paracetamol if there are no medical restrictions, but avoid taking multiple painkillers without guidance. If the headache becomes severe, is associated with fever, vomiting, blurred vision, weakness, or neck stiffness, seek medical attention immediately.
