I have had pain in my right wrist for the past 4 weeks, especially while rotating or twisting the wrist or lifting weights. The pain started after playing cricket after many years. The X-ray report shows soft tissue swelling, although no swelling is visible externally. What could be the cause?
Pain in your wrist after activity like cricket, along with soft tissue swelling on X-ray, is often due to a sprain, tendon or ligament strain, or minor soft tissue injury. Even if swelling is not visible externally, the tissues inside can be inflamed. Resting the wrist, avoiding heavy lifting, applying ice, and doing gentle stretching or physiotherapy can help. If pain continues or worsens, consult an orthopaedic doctor for a proper evaluation and treatment plan.
